Whew! This new year is almost through its first quarter, and we're already playing catch up on posting updates. Here are a few photos of our January and February meals from our food ministry.
By God's grace, in January, we served our monthly lunch meal to guests at Re:Center Ministries here in Louisville. By request, the main course was fried fish. We chose whiting. We added our own finishing touches that included homemade cornbread, seafood pasta salad, chow-chow relish, orange-butter pound cake (also called Orange Lightning Pound Cake), along with beverages and condiments. In February, our lunch meal included three meat chili (ground beef, stew meat, and chorizo sausage), jalapeno cornbread, buttered rice (not pictured), multiple pies, beverages and condiments. Our February sack lunches for The Forgotten Louisville contained 27 sandwiches of honey-baked turkey, ham, and Swiss, plus snack-size bags of Cheez-Its, Welch's Fruit Snacks, and Cuties (small oranges), water, and condiments. Our goal is to post our meals and other service activities at least once a month. Here's hoping to do better at taking better photos and keeping y'all posted in March and beyond! Please keep us and our ministry in your prayers and good thoughts. Serving Joyously and Signing Off...
