Finished meal for today’s community outreach: Savory Salisbury Steak and gravy, with sautéed onions and mushrooms, topped with provolone and parmesan; buttermilk biscuits, buttery mashed potatoes, seasoned green beans with potatoes.
It was a labor of love started last night with 12 pounds of ground beef, seasoned and made into patties, then refrigerated until 7am this morning, when we finished preparing the main dish, including fresh onions and assorted mushrooms to make a hearty and flavorful gravy.
We also added couple dozen homemade biscuits, made fresh this morning. The green beans and mashed potatoes were also a huge success, but I forgot to take photos before we started.
We took a few moments to say grace, and fed over 20 guests today (a few folks were still trickling in as we were leaving), but there was plenty to go around. Hard to believe that 2 and 2 Possibles, Inc., is over five years going strong in this ministry, and we are ever-grateful to continue this journey that we pray will continue to be pleasing to God. Spreading love in Louisville and beyond. 🥰
